Background on August 2021 Month of Action

The Israeli government plans to continue its ethnic cleansing across all of Palestine by forcing Palestinians out of their homes in the Jerusalem neighborhoods of Sheikh Jarrah and Silwan, and beyond. Together we rise up for the Month of Action in August 2021.

The Palestinian people remain steadfast in their resistance, refusing to be uprooted from their homeland. For decades, the U.S. has funded Israel’s ethnic cleansing. Now in solidarity with a continuing Palestinian uprising of unity against Israel’s colonialism, we in the U.S. have a role to rise up. Demand an end to U.S. military funding to Israel, and don’t let up until reps support H.R. 2590 as the bare minimum first step.

Until there’s justice for Palestinians to stay in their homes, we won’t allow peace and quiet for Congress in their home districts. Use this toolkit to raise the pressure.

    Palestinian families in Sheikh Jarrah and Silwan are still fighting for their right to remain in their homes. Israeli forces continue to detain Palestinians without charge, like Sheikh Jarrah resident and teacher Murad Attieh, and shoot protesters in Gaza, including a 13-year-old boy wounded in the head.
